Barberton City Council reviewed appropriations requests and standard staffing changes at the city council meeting on Monday.
Council reviewed requested legislation for the replacement of a water line on Cleveland Massillon Road. This will run from north and south of Johnson corner to the city of Norton.
Council discussed the purchase of two new police cruisers, through funds allocated from the police department.
Mayor Bill Judge promoted the city’s first job and resource fair from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at the City of Barberton Active Adult Center.
We have close to 20 groups, employers and additional resources that will be on hand, Judge said.
The next council meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. March 25 at the Barberton Municipal Building.
