Lorax Spruce Up Your School Grant Program now accepting entries

Random House Children’s Books and Dr. Seuss Enterprises, L.P. are offering their inaugural Lorax Spruce Up Your School Grant Program.

According to Seussville.com, the program was created to give school employees funds to beautify their surroundings in the spirit of the Lorax.

Children are encouraged to help come up with creative designs and ideas for improving their school, inside or out.

In order to enter the contest, employees must answer four questions about how they would spend the $2500 grant to improve their school. They should also include at least on visual image that illustrates their plan.

According to the website, one grand prize winner will receive the following:

-A $2,500 gift card for supplies and materials to make improvements to his/her school

-30 copies of The Lorax by Dr. Seuss for his/her school

-A complete set of the Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library books

-A DVD of The Lorax movie

There will be three runners-up, each of whom will receive the following:

-A $250 gift card for supplies and materials to make improvements to his/her school

-30 copies of The Lorax by Dr. Seuss for his/her school

-A DVD of The Lorax movie

-A Lorax Finger Puppet Set, courtesy of Manhattan Toy

Entries are being accepted through March 15.
