A friend of a West Tuscarawas Avenue man told police Jan. 7 that he went to the victim's home and found him in need of medical attention. Police said the victim said he bought a couch from a relative, and when it was delivered the relative assaulted him and took $600.


An electronic gaming system and five video games, total value $640, were reported stolen Jan. 10 from a Sylvester Street residence.

A Van Street resident told police Jan. 9 that she discovered a ring valued at $839 had been taken from her home.


A woman said Jan. 8 that she was at a local hospital when she went to the restroom and removed an $800 engagement ring to wash her hands. The ring was gone when she went looking for it in the restroom about 30 minutes later.
