During the afternoon on Tuesday, A Barberton Middle School student was trying to cross Norton Avenue near Harvard Avenue when she was hit by a passing car, according to the Barberton Herald.
In the police report, it was noted that she was not using a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
She was taken to Akron Children's Hospital afterward for treatment.
