The Barberton Library will host three events this week for residents.
The agenda includes a cookbook club meeting, an after-hours book club meeting and a pet-friendly reading program for kids. For more information about these programs, take a look at a news release issued by the library.
BARBERTON, Ohio —There’s always something going on at your Barberton Public Library! On Thursday, June 20th at 6:00 p.m. join us for Cookbook Club! This month’s theme is vegan or vegetarian cooking. Pick a recipe from any of the vegetarian cookbooks available from the Library, bring in a dish to share, and a copy of the recipe. This group is all about learning new tricks and tasting new things. Check out these books for veggie friendly inspiration: Grilling Vegan Style, by John E. Schlimm and Herbivoracious, by Michael Natkin.
Also on Thursday, June 20th at 8:00 p.m. join the after-hours book club: Books Unbound! We will meet at David B's Grill and Pub (524 W Tuscarawas, Barberton) to discuss the book Little Brother by Cory Doctorow.
On Saturday, June 22nd, visit the Library for some furry fun! PAWS to Read is a monthly program where children of all ages can practice reading aloud to friendly, trained therapy dogs.
